Hi, here is a short update on my light art project. The gas mask has arrived and I successfully installed the sound-sensitive converter into the gas mask. The clearance inside was enough for the converter to fit in after I remove the front shell.
For the wiring, there are two wires that go out from the converter, an in-line wire to power up the EL wires and a USB cord to the power source. I have glued them on the back of the mask that goes all the way to the back of my head. So no wiring would be visible on the outside.

And everything works after I plug in the EL wires and power source! The next step is to glue the EL wire on my jacket and that would be the end of the project.

In the end, the two black wires will be hidden after my neck.
The controller fits inside the mask like magic! Really glad to see it work so flawlessly!
