as of today I have the lights all wired and coded for the right intervals but I have yet to assemble the wires into the shape of each frame. Initially I was going to glue them down on wood but I realized there was too much overlap between frames and it would cause the lines to look off. now I am making digital files of each frame to cut out of acrylic which will allow me to stack the layers of wire more neatly.

once I cut all the layers I will glue the wire to the inside edge of the outline and then stack the 6 frames together and wall mount them.
I think that your animation of the dog that you are worried about will look fine without the EL wire cutouts being placed in to define the legs. I don’t think that anyone would really notice since the frame goes by fast.
I think you have enough frames that people will realize what the last animation of the dog is supposed to be. I think your outlines look really good so far and I am excited to see your final product!
I agree with Mattea and Mariah that you will not have to cut out the piece of the legs in the last animation. I think that as long as there is a quick transition between the sequences it will be easy to tell what the picture is.
I am super excited to see the progress of this. As someone else who’s using EL wire, I’m really looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
