Hi Everyone!
My name is Spencer McClellan and I am from Watertown, Massachusetts (about 45 minutes from WPI). I am also an industrial engineering major in the class of 2022!
Art has always been something that I enjoy doing in my free time, and I have experimented in a variety of mediums over the years. I used to primarily focus on pencil, still-life drawing, and though I still find that to be where most of my skills lie, I have turned to some different forms over the past little while (specifically over quarantine). Lately, I’ve been sewing and crocheting, while working on more expressive collages, bullet journaling, and other things like that. I primarily use physical media, but have spent a fair amount of time using programs like Procreate and Autodesk Sketchbook, from which I’ve made pieces that I sell on a Redbubble page.
Most of my experience with electronics comes from high school, since being an industrial major does not require a lot of specific technical skills like electronic design. Though from high school, I have experience with circuit design, breadboarding, soldering, and arduino programming.
Some of the work I have been most proud of recently is some clothing that I have been able to make. I had started drafting my own patterns and designs and am really proud of how some of those have turned out. What started as making masks for family and friends turned into a really fun and interesting hobby!

Cute. I love your artwork! Super impressive that you made and sold stickers!
Colorful. Your patterns are so creative and colorful. I also really like how you sold stickers, that’s something I’ve been wanting to get into.
Detailed. Your pictures of Marilyn Monroe are so good! It seems like you put a lot of thought into all of your collages too, I really like them!
Cute, I love the stickers and the collages that you made they are really pretty!
Dark. The Marilyn Monroe painting looks great in black and white.
Thought-provoking. The collages are very cohesive and feel like pieces of different things put together but at the same time very connected.
Colorful. I think your artwork is very colorful!
Striking. Those monotone portraits you made are incredible and very distinct. Audrey Hepburn and Lucille Ball are very recognizable. As someone who struggles with portraits, I understand how difficult making exact likenesses can be. Kudos. You’ve done a fantastic job.
Colorful, I think all the different colors and objects in your featured artwork collage blend together really nicely.
Impressive. Making your own sewing patterns is super impressive
