After a long while of waiting my colored gel plastic sheets finally came on Friday. This did not give me much time to mess around with them but did show me some of the issues that I had. Chiefly if you color a white piece of paper with a red mark and put the red sheet over it, it is no longer red. while that does partly achieve the goal, the red mark is still shown as a grey mark. I have thought a bit more about this and plan to use a grey for the background of the image so that the red mark will blend in with the grey background.

I think my second failure was not spending enough time with the project. While I have been very busy with other classes I think that I could have found the time to work on the project more.

I think as long as I can prove that I can blend in the colors with the grey background my main focus will be on the drawing itself. I have been thinking and may want to try and make the final design in a program after doing more sketches.
