Hello! I am Minh-Chau and I am from San Jose, CA.
I’ve always enjoyed being creative and trying new art mediums. For me, art is a way to explore and express myself. I find that art can exist in anything: room arrangement, jewelry, traditional painting.
My traditional art experience includes painting and ceramics. Digital art includes Illustrator and Photoshop. I hope to improve with using Procreate on my iPad. I have experience with Arduino, soldering, and basic programming. I took Electronic Arts in sophomore year and really enjoyed the class. I also enjoy sewing, digital and 3D collages, and card making.
Inspiration for me tends to come first from my loved ones; I love creating gifts for my friends and family. Additionally, I draw a lot of inspiration from my culture and my surroundings.
Some recent creative projects:
HeartBEAT: an interactive art project. The flowers move according to the user’s heartbeat through a heartbeat sensor. Touching the flowers can trigger additional sound effects. Fall 2018.
Lunar New Year Poster: Photoshop. Promotional poster for Vietnamese Student Association. Winter 2019.

I didn’t take the class it was for but by some sheer coincidence I happened to be working on an animation project in the same room the day you guys presented. Your project is actually the only one I remember from that day. I thought you did a wonderful job.

I’m sure you got almost everyone’s cute vote, but come on! The sushi plush is just so squishable. I adore him. I also adore the minimalistic, endearing artwork of the pig on the Lunar New Year backdrop. The artwork you make is professional and colorful, tending towards a sweet, pastel, pink-and-yellow color palette.
