Maquette

For my project I have decided to do a light box made out of stained glass, the theme of my project is water. I am going to cut the glass into triangles that are different sizes. The color of the glass is clear and different shades of transparent blue. For a watery look I found a light bulb that will start very bright and dim, then go back to being bright then dim again in a cycle. The light is meant to represent how the waves roll in and out of the shore.

I really like your idea of using the light bulb that changes brightness in cycles! I think that will represent the waves of an ocean really well and is so creative!!

I’m excited to see the lightbox and I think the triangles will make for a fun arrangement.

  3. That lightbulb seems like a nice solution to get some dynamic light behaviors.

One think to think about is how you’ll deal with the electrical cord. Will there be “feet” to raise the whole thing up a bit for the cord to pass under? Or a “port” on one of the sides for it to come out?

You might also consider getting a lamp cord that is coated in braided material or fabric for a more decorative effect. Check this site for example:

(It’s quite easy to wire up your own electrical socket)
