It’s finally complete after countless glue gun burns, constant crinkling of tin foil, and a lot of AA batteries. For this week, I constructed a wooden base for the tree to sit on, with a hole drilled through to route the controller wires out the back. This allowed me to take really clean photos without random wires getting in the way. I also experimented with ways to darken my room to achieve as close to total darkness as I can

The controllers coming out from beneath the base. They each have an annoying red light on them while powered on but it can easily be hidden by flipping them over.

The photos above are the tree with all the lighting zones on. I was pretty surprised as to how dark I could get the background for these photos despite the brightness from all 30ft of EL wire.
