I currently have all of my parts and they’re just about ready to go. All the is left now is to create the animations/videos to go on the screens and mount. This step though is one that I think will be easier said than done, but one that I’m ready for.
This past week I spent a good amount of time trying to find and make animations to go on the LCD matrix and LCD screen, however none of these ended up working quite how I wanted them to. Moving forward I am planning to film a video clip of an action for the LCD screen as well as create a basic animation for the LED matrix.
I think that it would be really cool if you made your own animations by taking videos of your friends doing different thinks. You would really make your project your own by doing this.
I think making the video clip for the LCD screen would be cool, however you’ll definitely need to take into consideration the background so you can mask it out easily, as well as the the lighting and camera angle so it meshes nicely with the picture.
I think using a video clip of yourself or friends to make an animation is a good idea, especially if you were struggling with other methods! I am excited to see how it turns out!
You could use the global lab or the IMGD lab for a green screen if that would help with the background problem!
What difficulties did you have getting those animations to appear as you wanted them?
