Rafael Lozano-Hemmer

Lozano-Hemmer was born on November 17, 1967, in Mexico City. He explores human-to-technology relationships to create interesting spaces. Much of his work is interactive and offers a different perspective to viewers. Much of his work uses projection in large spaces, sometimes even across whole cities.
His non-projection-based art is also an interesting experience, most reflect human perfection back at the viewer in a new way. On is a series of paper bags that inflate and deflate as the viewer breathes in the space. Another measures your height and displays it by unrolling a tape measure.
