It’s done! I really enjoyed slowly walking lampshades to campus in ones and twos, adding to the hanging collections and seeing my vision take form! This is a short video of me playing with 2 dimmer groups. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a way to integrate that outside of someone using the dimmer switches, and when I got to more lamps, I ran out of plugs in my second group,p so the effect was reduced.

This is a short walk around and the latest video I currently have, where I talk about what my next plans are, some of which have already happened.

The final version will end up with 18 lamp shades and will be temporarily displayed on campus in the innovation studio. From there, it may become permanent or be divided among vested parties.

Overall, I’m very happy with this project and would absolutely consider installing one in my home one day. Scaling the number of lamps was an interesting challenge, but totally worth it!
