Hi, my name is Samuel Hubert, and I am a sophomore at Worcester Polytechnic Institute studying Civil Engineering and Military Science through the Army ROTC program.

I was born in New Bedford, MA, then moved to Syracuse, NY, then to Windham, NH, then to Fairhaven, MA. Art has been a constant part of my life since I was very young, when my dad first introduced me to drawing on paper with pencils. Since then, I have taken countless art classes with many different teachers/professors and have learned a lot about technique, mechanics, etc.

Now, my art is mostly digital, and lately I have been primarily making logos for merchandise and garments. My work is still small-scale, though, so I would eventually like to reach a larger audience, maybe in the form of a part-time job making logos/designs for companies/institutions.

I use ProCreate primarily for my design. I believe it is a very beginner-friendly and intuitive program and has very extensive capabilities. Additionally, I use Adobe software mainly for exporting, resizing, editing, and vectorizing. My electronic knowledge only goes that far, creativity-wise, though, as I have never really delved into programming or coding. It just has never piqued my interest enough. In addition to traditional and digital design, I have recently made my first animation, which I enjoyed. I also enjoy creative writing now and then, and I love dissecting movies and music.

I am excited to learn more about and delve into the world of Light Art. Having light in a piece is such an obvious and often obvious feature, but having it as the focus is very interesting. It is very exciting and intriguing to learn/discover new ways to express yourself and find new inspirations. My biggest art inspirations are Gawx, Vexx, Takashi Murakami, edgci, Chuckpcomics, Will Blood, Padure, Gabriel Soares, Nry.ae, Kimou Meyer, CJ Hendry, Vladislavs Lakse, Alistair Moriarty, Rodrigo Lorenzo, and Alex Ross.

Recent projects that I am most proud of are my final projects for my past two art classes. One is an animation, and the other is a parody of the Creation of Adam.
The badge I am giving you is colorful. Your work is very eye-catching and lively, I really like your style. Your designs and logo work are very interesting, keep it up!
Your artwork is awesome! I’m particularly impressed by the range of artistic mediums you use! Even though you claim to be “only digital”, you make art for hoodies, cereal boxes, etc.
