Meredith – Intro and Portfolio

Hi all, I’m Meredith Cook, a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering with a Sustainability Engineering minor. I’m from an island off the coast of Maine. Art has mainly played in my life to capture the realism of the world around me, I enjoy sketching out the small details to precision. Outside of the standard visual art forms, I enjoy cross-stitching, knitting, scrapbooking, bullet journaling, photography, and dancing.

It hadn’t occurred to me to use light and express it as a form of art, but many people have utilized it in unique, cool, and creative ways. It’s amazing how people can stumble across new forms of creative expression utilizing one subject. (Additionally, combine multiple mediums to express new visuals).

Shiny! You do a heck of a job capturing light in your drawings and, well, ceramic is quite shiny once you’ve glazed it so that’s self explanatory.
