Everything Works!

on

These last couple weeks don’t look like as much as I had hoped. Since there is an order to how I have to do everything, there isn’t too much that I’ve completed yet.

So far I have finished the crochet aspect of the project, since each piece took about 10 hours to complete, not including the time it took to design the patterns. The final four designs that I decided on were Hollyberry for winter, Lily of the Valley for spring, Morning Glories for Summer, and a Pumpkin for fall.

After actually crocheting each of the motif’s you have to do what is called blocking to get them to the size you would like. Blocking involves wetting the fabric then stretching it out while it dries so it then stays in that shape. I don’t have an official mat to block things on, so I used some large toothpicks and a lot of cardboard taped together.

Blocking Mat that I Used

Here are the final pieces that I finished this week on the blocking mat so it is nice and easy to see them.

Unfortunately, that is all I completed, but it was necessary to accomplish it first so I could get the scale of the rest of the project.
