I found a good example of shadowing and possibly diffraction in this picture of a music set at Burning Man taken by Arturo Gomez. My favorite aspect is the shadow of the crowd shown on the bottom of the image. I also enjoy the consistency of color between the sun’s rays and the fire. This image prompted me to explore more of Arturo’s work, which includes photography of live electronic music, and often elaborate lighting. I believe his work will offer great inspiration as I develop an idea for a course project.
