Final Documentation – Miniature Skyspace

Miniature Skyspace is the result of a term-long dive into how light shapes space and perception. Inspired by James Turrell’s Skyspaces, I built a wall-mounted shadowbox using forced perspective, layered textures, and remote-controlled LEDs to mimic a skylit room.

Final touches included hiding the LED strip with a shelf, framing the glass to block light leaks, and upgrading the backlight for a better “beam” effect on the floor. There are still little things I’d tweak, like better aligning the pattern or sealing off unwanted leaks — but overall, I’m proud of how it turned out. It now lives on my shelf at home as a mini light installation.

Thanks everyone for a great term and I enjoyed all of your projects!!! & Thank you Prof. Rosenstock!!!
