Everything Working

With every photoshoot and every editing session, I have definitely started to cut down time in my trial and error process. This week I did a photoshoot at Cascading Waters in Worcester. I had no idea until just recently that we had such an amazing piece of nature so close by and if you haven’t been I highly recommend checking it out. Although I’ve been doing mostly 15 second exposures, I found that the water looks best at around 3-4 seconds, which is what these photos are at. I experimented with some different styles of editing, some more dark and gloomy and others bright and dreamy, let me know which you prefer! Here’s some photos from that shoot as well as my favorites from past photoshoots. I plan on doing 2 more shoots – one of the starry sky and one of a highway.

I love your new photos! I think the gloomy editing style matches the previous photoshoots better, if that is something you are thinking about. Especially since you are displaying them together, it might be good if they all have a similar vibe.
However, I really love the sunny waterfall photo (the one you set as the featured image). Its dreamlike and I feel like I could see a fairy here or something.

This is awesome! Like I mentioned in class, some photos remind me of large-scale documentaries. I think the only thing I would say is just reiterate what i mentioned in class which is to work out the story you want to tell with your gallery. I think answering that question could help guide you as to what pictures to include and in what order for the final presentation.

I loveee how the water looks so soft and fluffy. I like that this one isn’t a direct light source like the rest of ur photos but rather something that reflects. If you have time to do another one more reflection could be cool. Also for presenting, I’d day play around until you find an idea for organizing you really like!
