Anton’s Autobiography

on

Hi everyone, my name’s Anton and I’m from Newton, MA. Art, in particular digital art, has been a part of my life since early childhood when I first started using my father’s camera. I experimented with photography, and eventually became obsessed with taking and editing photos of airplanes. Some of those can be seen below.

Eventually my photography and photo editing turned into a passion for graphic design. This hobby eventually turned into a full-time job my senior year of high school when I landed a position as one of the first employees of a company called Valvetronic Designs. Since then, I have worked to develop a brand image, create advertisements, merchandise, billboards and a lot of other design mediums. Some of my graphic design work is shown below.

I have also started to use my CAD knowledge as a product designer for Valvetronic and several other smaller companies. I have created a variety of different functional accessories for high-end sports cars, trade-show booths, and most recently, a bluetooth remote. Some of my designs are shown below.

My creative inspirations change all the time but one style that has always found its way back into my mind is constructivism. Outside of digital art, I like to express myself through music, particularly on the bass guitar. I am excited to explore a new medium through light art, something which I have not done much of before. I have attempted some night time sky photography, using a longer exposure to capture more than just the starts. I’m looking forward to what I, and the rest of the class, can come up with for their project.

The badge I am giving you is inventive. The way you use your skills for both graphic design and product development at your job shows your ability to create new things and put them to work.

How you were brought up in graphic designing is very quirky, it’s fun how something so simple as taking pictures of airplanes turned into editing and later graphic designing.

I’m going to give you the clever badge. It’s impressive you were able to learn all these different things and it’s clever how you have modified all of it to suit what you need it for. Very clever!

Detailed. Your ability to take photos and market them with editing, text, etc. and keep the ad clean but packed with information is impressive.
