More learning & application this week! I spent the time learning about particle simulations and the like to really get the focal point done so I can finally move on to something else. I’ve got what I think is my final for now, so in the coming days it will all be modeling & what I’m more familiar with. I’m not anticipating super beautiful and realistic models, but I am pushing myself to make things look better than my norm.

Here’s some iterations so far, with the most recent being at the bottom! Yes, it may look like a bunch of the same video but there are differences, I promise!
This is really impressive. If you are seriously considering the loop, another suggestion could be making the sand a sort of grayish color to match the sky color. Or you could follow the sand down and do a sort of fade to black and then leading back to the start of the loop.
Whatever you decide to do, I think the final will look really good.
Your animation is coming together beautifully and I’m really impressed with the realism that you’ve been able to accomplish. Like some others have said in class, I wouldn’t mind the beginning being a little slowed down to see the light falling off, but other than that it’s looking great and the final product will definitely be exciting!
Your animation is awesome! There’s clearly been a lot of care and effort put into the project, and it comes out in your execution! Like I mentioned in class, however, I would caution against trying to hyper optimize each incremental step and instead try to make many batched changes to make much faster progress
I love your project so much, and I can tell you’ve put a lot into it! I did miss the light falling the first time we watched, but other than that,t it looks great so far. I’m super excited to see you add in other models. Forgive me if this is obvious, but if you like the beginning and are only working on the light falling here on out, don’t render the beginning again! Just the frames that change.
