This week I finalized the project. I was able to paint some plywood slices and stick them behind the acrylic so that the images could be seen during daylight as well. I re-laser cut the images to get them to the desired quality. I also used an acrylic wash to color the base box. The one thing I would hopefully like to polish a bit more is the diffusion of the colors. The LEDs I bought were just not bright enough, so I resorted to using LED strips, but the red and blue lights kind of just merged into a purple light.
