Introduction of Carley, Her Inspiration and Work

I was Born In Colorado and lived there for half of my life (sadly, that will change as I get older.) I have lived in Massachusetts since.  Art has always been my calm and happy place. It is my way of disconnecting and expressing my joys and feelings in a beautiful way. College tends to take up a lot of time for every student. For now, I can only dive into my work if I sign up for an art class or during summer break. I try to do photography whenever I find some part of nature or scenery that catches my eye, and id like to paint someday. I have begun working with graphic design lately, but those are not ready for the public yet. I spent some time outside my comfort zone and tried kinetic art, working with lights, speakers, and motors. My favorite piece that came out of that journey was my boom box. I designed some songs for the sound system to truly make the project a piece of myself. I have always wanted it, and I am glad I spent the time making one for myself. I Jumped into a wire sculpture phase, which tore my hands up during every project. However, it was lots of fun and had some cool outcomes. Despite my adventuring to different media, painting has stolen my heart. It wasn’t my first media practice, but it is soothing. Blending Colors and creating making images out of technical blobs of goo is pretty amazing. My biggest inspiration, as mentioned, comes from nature. It is simple, peaceful, quiet, and admirable. I like to call myself a sunset chaser. The bright colors are mesmerizing in the way they can change the way the world looks around them. When I am old and I croak, I hope to be reincarnated as the sunset. Surprisingly I never thought a sunrise could ever measure to the charm of the sunrise.

Set up a dance light or two and you have an at home dance festival for with minimal losses.

Sunflower Smiles realism
I adore sunflowers because they are like small pieces of the sun for us to hold on earth.

The Lost Pink Ghost chalk pastel
There was a pink ghost in my dream. She was kind and vibrant. Despite her beauty and generosity she was troubled. and you could see the darkness fogging her eyes

Warm Italy Sunset Photography

Beautiful scenery I hope to paint one day. The image genuinely captures the colors of the sky and its influence on the water underneath it.

    Badge ~ “Striking”
The lines of color used in the Cherry Blossom Tree and the detail of the rocks sitting in the river are great accents to the painting.
