The project “Cognition of a Fledgling” is a diffused array of LEDs which show the topology of a bowl that is rhythmically deforming. This rhythm is determined randomly, following a periodic cycle. Every minute it slows down then speeds up the generation of waves. There is a simulated marble, which follows the gradient of the bowl. The energy damping on this marble is determined by the “entropy” (which also determines the period between waves). As the waves become more chaotic, so does the movement of the marble.
