Intro ~ A Walk Through The North East

I am Roman, an undergraduate pursuing a major in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Astrophysics. Originally I am from Bronx, New York. Most of my artistic foundation was manifested when I attended high school in Harlem, New York. It was here I met Adam Garnett. Adam was an educator with experience in poetry, video production and performance art. From a freshman to a senior, Adam was there not only as a teacher, but also a friend. Adam is truly an inspiration to my artistry and integral to my journey through the arts at WPI.

Throughout my years, I have worked on murals, video editing, and performance art. Some technical applications include programing desired patterns of light using a micro-controller and coding software.

“Over exaggerate rather then underperform, when you have nothing left to give, giving it your all is the next option

Sketches created with a precision Micro – pen

Often times I indulge in extensive walks throughout Worcester and along the way I photograph from great potential, the moments I experience along the way. When I am not walking, my artistic process is combining knowledge from my several courses in the humanities (i.e. Essentials of Art, Figure Drawing, Electronic Music Composition, etc.) and discovering the likeness and nuance these topics share. From this, one might think about using sound waves to create visual art pieces or coding musical software to generate paintings; hence a crossover of different worlds can unravel.

familiar – i like how you capture places around worcester in ways that highlight how different certain areas are

Familiar- This idea mainly comes from the images that you have captured. They give me a sense of belonging to the specific area, hence my reasoning for the familiar badge (Might be because I grew up in the surrounding area of Worcester, but these images are still cool looking, especially the tree image).

Thought-provoking – I find your micro-pen sketches fascinating. They remind me of how SVG images work, using specific start and end points to draw a picture.

    Hi Roman!

I would like to give you the – dark – badge. Your micro-pen sketches are intriguing they remind me of my grumpy self burning holes in the wall from my glares and having a cigarette to remind myself to breathe.

Roman, I like the way you treat your surroundings as a main insirational component for your art. I can relate to that and I would give this post a fimiilar badge. Thanks for sharing!
