Makoto Tojiki is an artist who works primarily with Light. He was born in Miyazaki Japan and attended university at Kinki University. . He worked as an industrial designer after graduating in 1998 but found production be restrictive. He started his art career in 2003. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concepts and Ideas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The primary focus in many of his works is the duality of light and shadow. “Shadow is created by light; if there is shadow, there must be light. Here, I express the relationship between light and shadow.” Another major concept shown through his art is Impermanence. The resulting images from his sculptures are often fleeting and represent temporary states. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
