For my maquette I did a simple photography experiment, I used these objects I own as subjects and merged the images in different ways to experiment with that color combination.

I also tried out some light painting

For the colors I used my phone, searched images of the color Blue or Color Green and full brightness, or used the flashlight with a pair of red tint sunglasses that I have, I believe that the multiple color defusers for lighting will work for the color illumination.

- Camera (I’m already debating buying a camera so maybe I’ll get around to it before the term is over)
I love how the combined photo shows the true colors of the main subject. I do agree with you though that if the color lenses are all calibrated to each other somehow, they will balance each other out and you wont be left with that pink cast. I also love your light paintings. Is your idea to combine the two of them? I imagine a cool idea where you make three light paintings, and maybe have another subject reacting to your movements in each color. Then when they are all ontop of each other they would tell a story.
I am surprised how pink the red-blue image came out; I was expecting something more purple. I also love the way your long exposures came out, especially the first duck that looks like its breathing fire. I really don’t have any advice for you though since I have no experience with this kind of art.
I really like how light layering photos turned out. There is such a cool like ghost of phantom effect that you get that I think will be really cool to play around with. Do you think you will commit to doing the light layering or the more traditional light painting. While I think you can’t go wrong either way, I can see the the light layering used to tell a really cool story. It could be a one page story, or even a story told throughout a few images.
Your photography tests are really cool! The way the way you applied the color filtering affected the tint of the overall photo is a very interesting concept, diving into that more could be cool. At a general level I like your use of still lives in this project, playing with light over time of a still life could also be an interesting addition. Once you get the translucent paper sheets, do you plan on still using software to do finishing touches on the project, or will you leave it in the original form?
