Hello! My name is Kat Tse and I am from San Francisco, CA. I am a junior computer science and interactive media and game development double major. Art has always been a big stress relieve in my life; it is one of my favorite hobbies. By studying game development, I am able to take the creativity that comes with art and utilize that within my school work and hopefully my job.
I have tried a quite a few different art mediums including photography and photo editing, digital drawing, and graphic design. However, my favorite mediums continue to be physical ones. I love to paint (painting my nails is one of my favorite de-stress activities) , knit and crochet, embroider, fold origami, and other hands-on crafts. I have really wanted to get into sewing as well. Aside from the more traditional art forms, I am also a choreographer. This is probably the biggest way that I have been able to express my creativity. I was a competitive gymnast for 9 years before starting college, and now I am a competitive ballroom dancer. I have dabbled in choreographing for musical theater productions.
I am a computer science major which means I am no stranger to programming. I have also taken a few electrical and computer engineering courses which have given me a basic understanding of my electronic systems. I would not say that this is my strong suit when it comes to art.
I do my best to draw inspiration from everywhere around me, but I do love a good Pinterest scroll just to get the creative juices flowing. Below are a few examples of my recent works. Each link, picture, and video will be labeled.

Here is a sweatshirt I embroidered over the summer.

Here are three gymnastics floor routines I choreographed this summer.
Here are some of the nail art designs I did over the summer.

Cute: The WPI sweatshirt is amazing and looks like something they would actually sell in the bookstore.
Impressive: I’m absolutely impressed by the floor routines, they are so calm, methodical and beautiful, something I could never in a million years do.
Impressive: Your wide range of artistic abilities from gymnastics to embroidery is impressive. The WPI embroidery looks to complicated and tedious to make!
Impressive: Your gymnastic prowess clearly demonstrates devotion and countless hours of practice.
Gorgeous: Your embroidery work is so beautiful and intricate!
Detailed: All the small details in your work bring a warm feeling, especially the nail designs and embroidery. Your choreography is very detailed and each movement feels intentional.
Impressive: so many different art styles you are very diverse.
Striking: the colors in your WPI embroidery piece pop really nicely, and your gymnastics routines have a lot of power behind them.
Striking: You are literally striking poses, I couldn’t resist the (bad) pun.
detailed: i love the embroidery sweatshirt! I like how you both enjoy digital and physical art.
