Introduction!

on

Hello! My name is Jesse, and I’m a senior at WPI. I’m almost done with my dual degree (mechanical engineering & environmental and sustainability studies). I’m originally from Brewster, New York (not in the city) and I now live in Fernandina Beach, Florida. One day I want to be an artist full time, maybe when I’m all done with engineering. I like painting/drawing/physical art forms best, but I’ve also done some graphic design and animation work. I took another art class here that involved electronics in art (not sure if anyone else here has taken that as well), which gave me a good basis for how art can interact with the STEM world. My favorite artists are Janet Fish and Salvador Dali.

The badge I decided to give you is thought-provoking. The googly eye piece was just so captivating and really got me to look closely at the details.

Familiar: I love the notebooks sketches, and think it is cool that you took something most people do and turned them into real works of art.

Clever: I think the different ways of making art you are implementing are just so smart and unconventional. It’s different from other ways art is depicted and I love it.
