Failure, Recalibration, & Iteration

on

I luckily failed early and I am very happy I did, because I needed all the time I could get to assemble my final project. My first “failure” was what I was going to choose as my light pegs. I couldn’t figure out a cost-friendly idea that aligned with my original vision. I went immediately with the idea that Professor Rosenstock gave me and that was to use hot glue sticks.

I bought 1200 mini hot glue sticks for a relatively cheaper price than any light bulbs. I then bought alcohol inks. I chose to color my project with alcohol inks because I wanted the light to still be able to shine freely through the color no matter how dark I applied it. I took each stick and 1 by 1 dipped it into the bottle of alcohol ink and allowed it to dry. This was my final iteration of that.

now I only need 4,003 more! not joking.
