Who I Am
My name is Abby, and I’m a third-year Robotics Engineering student, maybe looking to do the B.S./M.S. program. I’m a nature photographer from Tampa, FL and I have a Siamese cat named Lily.
Art, My Life, and My Goals
Growing up, art was something I wanted to do as a career, but I quickly realized I liked the freedom of not having to rely on it to make a living or forcing myself to do something that ultimately would make me dread it. It’s my creative outlet and allows the inner child in me to come out and see the world.
Experience
By hobby, I’m an avid nature photographer, and I have around 8 years of experience using professional-grade Nikon DSLR’s. I grew up drawing and have recently gotten into various types of yarn and jewelry crafting. I also have a background in 3D modeling (both organic sculpting and geometric engineering CAD) and 2D animation. I like to consider myself a jack of all trades, making me fairly flexible in terms of media.
My Technological Experience
I’m a Robotics Engineering major, so I’ve done all the projects and labs in the Unified Robotics series. I also have the skills listed below:
Software: Autodesk Certified User; fluent in MATLAB and SolidWorks; proficient in Mathcad, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, ZBrush, Adobe Creative Cloud, Linux, ROS, computer vision, and path planning.
Programming Languages: Fluent in C++, C, Java, HTML, CSS; proficient in Arduino and Python; familiar with JavaScript.
Manufacturing/Hardware Skills: CNC milling, laser cutting, and 3D Printing, soldering, microcontrollers.
