Hi! I’m Flynn, from Washington state. I started out mostly doing pencil sketches and things like that, then I got a graphics tablet for my computer and started doing more digital art too. Now I have an iPad, and mostly to digital paintings there, as well as making 3D and 2D animations on the computer using Blender. I’ve also started using a bit of Maya and Adobe Animate for classes (I don’t particularly like them as much as Blender, especially since they kinda cost a lot of money). I’ve also some experience making things by hand. Woodworking, machining, things like that. I’ve also dabbled in knitting and crocheting, though mostly just enough to know how time consuming it is.
I like to program, I started out in Scratch, then moved on to Khan Academy’s version of Processing JavaScript, then C# and Java, C, and then more recently, Python and Rust. I also played around with Arduino and LEGO Mindstorms a lot.
I will occasionally write, typically just concepts for characters. Nothing close to a full story so far lol. I will also do crafts, usually at like 2 AM when everything feels like a fever dream. I enjoy playing the piano, I’ve got a keyboard in my room, and I’ll play on the Alden practice pianos when they’re free, even though they’re all out of tune. I’ve also been playing guitar for about a month, and have been really enjoying that. I also played the cello for like 2 months a while ago.
As for inspirations, at least for my art, I mostly will pull from whatever TV shows or movies I’ve seen that have nice lighting or animation. Things that stand out to me are The Owl House, Arcane, the Lackadaisy pilot, and the Spider-Verse movies.
Here are a few things I’ve made recently. I mostly only post on Instagram, but WordPress doesn’t seem to behave well with Instagram.

All my stuff is on my Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/flynnd03/
Striking. The use of different colors and shadows in the character drawings makes them very striking and brings emotion to those drawings made in procreate.
Thought – provoking. I really liked your color palette choices with your drawings being well sketched out. Also when watching your videos I loved the fact I was not able to expect what could happen, very well made illusions.
quirky: The last piece with the hand caught me by surprise and my first thought was that it was very unique and quirky.
Inventive-
The videos using blender are an extremely inventive way to mess with ones outlook on reality and distort it.
Impressive – Your art work is very interesting, your animation work is particularly creative and is a cool way to make art that appears to break reality.
Dark- The first few digital artworks have a desaturated feeling that I really like. The use of darker tones works great for your art, especially for the one of sans.
