Hi! My name is Codey Battista and I’m a Biomedical Engineering major from Northbridge, Ma which is about 15 minutes south of Worcester. In my current life, I am most interested in photography and digital art. However, with soccer and extra-curriculars, it is hard to find time for myself to do art on my own.
In terms of digital art making, I have used photoshop and dipped my hand into 3D Modeling. I don’t necessarily have much experience in traditional art making though. In addition, I have always had an interest in programming but have never used it for art purposes. I have a very elementary knowledge on coding and how it works but that hasn’t stopped me from trying to learn more about it. This class might just be the reason I focus on coding a little bit more.
For me, I enjoy untraditional arts like music and filmmaking. I am an avid listener of all types of music and spend a lot of my free time watching movies and TV shows. To be completely honest, I am not much of a filmmaker myself, however, photography is close to filmmaking in a sense, except it just doesn’t move. Lastly, I am most proud of my photography but also my final project in 3D modeling. As I mentioned before, I don’t take part in freelance art too much, so my character is on of my best works.
Overall, I am an easygoing person that loves sports, staying active, and occasionally staying in to watch TV. I am very excited to start the Light Art project!

inventive!
Your forays into tech is quite interesting, and I like your use of reflections in the photos you shared.
Clever! Using what looks like a proximity sensor for a walking stick for a blind person is a very clever and interesting addition to the basic walking stick.
Impressive. Your stick for the blind makes me intrigued and also love your 3d model of Hulk.
Clever-
Reflections are always an interesting way to look at the world and I love how you captured that.
Striking – Your photography work features many really cool images, I like how they have an extra element to them, like the reflections or darkening the photos.
Detailed- I like the photo of the field at WPI! Changing the brightness and saturation helped make the details in the grass and sky pop.
