Everything is complete! It took a long time to actually finish printing the final, larger, sculpture, but everything besides that went pretty smoothly. I definitely want to do more with projection mapping in the future. I think one of the things I’d have changed is I would have made sure that the planes of the sculpture face more towards the projector. The planes of the snout are quite steep from the projector’s point of view, which leads to less resolution on the snout. I think it looks okay still, but I think I would have flattened the face just a tad more if I had more time to experiment with the 3D print.
