My maquette includes a scaled down piece of material that has been laser cut engraved from innovation. Though it is simple, it gives me an idea of how difficult it will be to use the laser cutter for my final project since I have never used it before. The piece that is cut will have an engraving on the material so that I can place the LED light strip along it making the logo clear.

I think your maquette looks good, and getting certified to use the laser cutter is a huge step for this project. I’m not sure what kind of LEDs you were planning on using, but it may be cool to have some that interact with the sounds of the game.
Very cool. Have you experimented with edge-lighting the acrylic?
I really like the look of the letters on the sign and how precise the engraving is. Do you know yet how you will attach the LEDs to the sign? Also, allowing users to interact with the LEDs on the sign through noise could really be cool.
I love that you posted your timeline. Its a psychological fact that making a plan and making it public naturally increases the likely chances of you getting it done on time. I should do the same.
I like the design. I think the Giants have a good logo for a project like this since it is simple and the colors are separated nicely.
