My name is Liam Hoyle. I am a Mechanical Engineering Major with a Minor in Physics. I like to read, draw on my iPad, or work on personal projects in my free time. My interest in art grew during my high school physics class. Mr. Noviello was the teacher and he now works at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). He encouraged learning so I began trying new things like art and found it fun. I don’t plan to make art into any type of career, it’s more of a hobby. However, I have found it to be a useful skill in projects from time to time. I took a digital art class at WPI and learned to use Adobe Photoshop and Animate. I’ve also attended a few different traditional art classes. I know how to code in MATLAB and I built my computer at home. I’m also pretty proud of my soldering skills. Art is my main creative outlet. I also enjoy writing. My main inspiration to create art comes from nature, which I enjoyed on my IQP in Montana. One of the projects that I am most proud of is painting my Air Force 1s, which I have included a picture of. The process was new to me. It was a lot of fun, and I was happy with the results.

colorful!
I really like the shoes. They look really cool
Dark! A couple of your art pieces look like they utilize darker tones and colors to portray certain feelings. I really like the use of the darker colors in the art piece utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Animate.
Dark. Your art is giving me darker vision/taste. I did really like the design of the 3d model of the fox, especially with the fire effect was very cool.
dark: A couple of your pieces utilize the lack of light which adds to the emotion of the pieces. I specifically enjoyed the dark environment with the red house.
Striking-
The painted AirForce 1 pair and the Fire fox are both a very bold, striking, and beautiful use of red and its gradients.
Dark – I like how a lot of your pieces use a dark background to emphasize the main components of the piece, for example the fox really pops!
