My name is Mason Thyng, I\u2019m a senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute working towards a degree in aerospace engineering. I was born and raised in a small rural town in southern New Hampshire. Some of my hobbies include working on various coding projects, playing video games, hiking, cooking, and building potato cannons, the last of which I personally consider a form of art. While I admittingly don\u2019t have as much experience in creating digital art, I have taken a few college courses on 3D modeling using tools like ZBrush and Maya. However, if you count more solids-based modeling software like Inventor, Fusion 360, or Solidworks, I have a few years of experience up my sleeve. I\u2019d also say that I\u2019m comfortable with a couple of coding languages. While I haven\u2019t received any formal education, I have been practicing coding since my freshman year of high school and have taught myself Python and C#, but I also have experience in others such as C++, HTML, and JavaScript. My experience also extends a bit to working with computers and controllers such as Raspberry Pi, Arduinos, Window\u2019s console, and Linux. While I don\u2019t spend much of my own time creating art, I\u2019m currently working on a couple of small sprites for a game my friends and I are making. I love the look of pixel art, especially from older video games like the Legend of Zelda and even modern games like Dead Cells or Blasphemous, and have drawn much inspiration from their styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
