My name is Taylor Wood and I am from all over the United States. Most recently I have lived in Rhode Island but I have moved almost every year of my life up until high school. Being able to travel most of my life has allowed me to see many forms of expression from all over the country. From watching the Indigenous Polynesian people of the Hawaiian Islands dancing hula kahiko and hula auana to observing the colossal granite sculpture: Mount Rushmore.
Art of all forms has been a large part of my life and it continues to be today as I enjoy hobbies including writing poetry, photography, playing the trumpet, embroidery, sewing, and just general crafting.
My experience with technology in the arts include using photoshop, adobe premier, and working with lighting equipment in order to make a broad range of works from the creation and re-enacting of short films to silly photoshopped pieces. My work with the traditional arts include charcoal, pastel, pencil, pen, and sculpture (typically clay).
Some recent creative works I am proud of are pictured below.

I also wanted to illustrate some of the short films that I have made. I have embedded two below. The one on the left, Parallel Worlds, is a comparison of society in a different time period to our own today. The one on the right, Portrait of a Baker, illustrates the life of a baker named Cole Ouellette.
Thank you for taking the time to look over my autobiography!
Striking – I find your videos to be very striking. They evoke some sense of emotion in my chest
Thought-Provoking – Your works make me want to learn more about the setting and world they are set in.
Thought-Provoking – Your short film Parallel Worlds showed the comparison of different eras in the same location, which is something I don’t consider often. Very interesting!
Thought-provoking – When I saw your short film, Parallel Worlds, it opened my eyes to how different it was back then. For the Portrait of a Baker film, the idea of finding joys in the things you do is pretty important.
Clever – It could be due to you having the opportunity to experience all over the country, but all your artwork is very clever and creative. I really like the combination of mediums used to make Tree in a Different Plane. Not to mention the various camera angles utilized in your portrait video were really really cool!
Impressive – I applaud the effort that you put into the videos and I like the comparisons that were made within Parallel Worlds. I can see the amount of thought and time put into each piece.
clever – I love how you combined mediums with the tree made of clay and the background made in photoshop. Not only does the
scenery look amazing, but the color contrast between the tree its surrounding bring a cool cartoony aspect to it.
