They also use many other techniques such as creating custom builds, utilizing famous/iconic structures in their works, and precise placements of shadows to create an image.

Luftwerk also commonly uses video projections in their works. In video below illustrates their piece that utilizes fiber optic cables to display a video projection on an interactive surface.

They are very interested in light, obviously. They believe that light plays an important role in our lives as it is critical to observing the world around us. The idea that light can be used to alter the world around you and create different perceptions and experiences is very important. This is very present in their art as there work is commonly simply light influencing the space around it in interesting and unique ways.

There work is all utilizing light and color to shift perceptions of an environment. These environments are typically famous, iconic, or historically relevant to the piece. A good example of this is the Farnsworth House in Boston, Massachusetts. They took this house and used lasers to completely change the environment.

This piece is called Convergence. In order to make it Luftwerk asked four people where the places that allow them to connect to themselves are. They took video of these participants in the place of their choosing walking towards the camera and away from it. These videos were then overlayed in order to make it seem like they are meeting. This is also the same piece shown in the video above.
This piece was created in order to raise awareness to the conservatory it was displayed in as well as rehabilitation as a whole. It consists of glass structures running up and down pathways in the conservatory displaying the garden in a way that is unique. This piece is called Solarise: Portal.
This piece is supposed to reflect an evolution of patterns in nature. It is an immersive expirenece that uses a amoeba drawing displayed throughout the RGB spectrum. This piece is called becoming.
This piece is called Corner in the Square. This was designed to be a very tough looking rigid structure with a lot of space between the bars. When seen from the correct angle it can be described as a square like structure. The light also can be seen to soften the rigidity in the piece.
