I cannot say I completely failed, however, this was one of my more daunting tasks, so this was the week to take it on. I originally had the idea of making a counterbored hole where the leds would go so they would protrude more from the wood. Unfortunately, after consulting with the makerspace staff, I found out that making those holes requires tools that I have not used before and a level of precision I do not have. As a result, I went back and edited the panel to make the led holes larger so I could make inserts for the leds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next day, I bought some wood, and took my design to the laser cutter. After some time reading the manual, I attempted to make my first cut. The first take went better than expected and made clean cuts all around, except for the edge.
