Originally I am from Mattituck, NY bud now live in the Adirondack Mountains in NY. Hands on creativity is one of the most relaxing methods I use to de-stress. I love to build, and spent a lot of hours as a child playing with Legos. I started developing my creativity through construction in high school during a woodshop class. I later would use the skills from that class(and from renovating my parents’ house) to construct a desk which housed my computer. Which leads me to my next point, computers. I started learning to build computers during senior year of high school and right after graduation built my first custom PC. Since then, I have built 5 PCs for friends and even rebuilt mine to include custom water cooling which is the Holy Grail of computer building because of its aesthetic, though infrequently practiced because of the dangers associated with it. Liquids and electronics do not mix well. Recently, I decided to add a unique twist to the PC by laser etching a series of circuit traces into the glass side and front panels at WPI’s MakerSpace, which are illuminated by LEDs inside the computer. This is something rarely seen because few have access to a laser cutter. Other electronic means of creativity include photography, which I learned from my brother. I typically find it weird to takeout a smartphone to take a picture of something, but in certain cases I will spot something worth a photo. And in these cases, I try to capture the entire moment and use techniques I learned from my brother and from other professionals. Reflections, field of view, depth of field, patterns, the rule of thirds, etc. all to draw the attention of the viewer. To enhance this, I have a novice understanding of how to use photoshop. Last year, I took a course to learn how to 3D model with SolidWorks and at the end of the term presented to the instructor a 3D printed car whose steering relied on a rack and pinion. Here is a list of specific skills: SolidWorks, 3D Printing, Basic Programming, Circuit Building/Soldering, Basic Photoshop, Woodworking, Fundamentals of Light and Lasers, Photography.

I tried to upload other images to this post but the file sizes are too large to insert them.

My name is Ty.
