Hello! My name is Kyria and I’m a senior Computer Science student who lives in Massachusetts. I’ve lived in Mass since I was 2 years old (I’m 20 now), so it’s pretty familiar to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I was really little I used art as a way to express myself and distract myself during class. I absolutely loved traditional art, especially inks like fine-point pens and alcohol markers, and essentially only drew in those mediums. About six years ago I tried to broaden my horizons and step into the digital scene, although I’ve only really “gotten the hang of it” (barely) recently. In my college years I also found a love for watercolor paint, and now collect paints quite adamantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although art is very important to me, I decided that I wanted my career to be something unrelated, and resigned arts role in my life to that of a hobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The field I chose to pursue, Computer Science, has been very inspiring to me. I have learned how to program in Java, C, C++, Python, Javascript, Processing, and many other languages. I’ve played with Arduinos, learned a patch-cord software called Max, developed CAD models and experimented with 3D printing, and worked on Android and iOS applications, along with all sorts of other things. The possibilities of the fusion of art and tech are endless, in my opinion, considering all these facets of programming and computer-related design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of other forms of creative arts, I am interested in fashion (though I am not very fashionable myself) and occasionally do some short writing. Most of my time, though, is spent sleeping or eating… I’d say my spirit animal is probably a lazy raccoon of some sort. I would love to learn cooking, glass-blowing, foraging, up-cycling, seamstressing, doll customizing, custom brewing, video-game development, and about a million other things, but I’m learning to take my interests one step at a time, based on what resources are available to me. Some inspirations of mine include digital artists like Loish, bluesssatan, clov.ii, aimkid, and Magik_jack_art, as well as more traditional artists, like Dollightful, HeXtian, and PearFleur, and chef-hobbyists like Max Miller, Binging with Babish, and JunsKitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of art I’ve done recently, I like to make birthday cards for people close to me. Here are a few examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
