The Tower: Modular Kit Models

I’ve completed the majority of the outside items for my scene. I still have yet to create the clutter (bones) and the items that need to be sculpted in zbrush (statues and sculpted ornamentation on the balcony).

Character Modeling First Pass – Hanwen Xu

Hi, this is my character modeling for the toilet. The toilet itself is finished, but in the end, legs will grow out from the bottom of the toilet, so I still have to model a human leg. I did this model in a more detailed fashion than the other ones. I tried to make it…

Character Modeling 1st Pass: Kerri Thornton

Introducing… *balloon rat* Just kidding, he’s a clown rat. But he reminds me of a balloon animal at this stage. Or the Michelin man… Obviously still have a lot of smoothing and sculpting to do, but for now I’m enjoying this wonky little guy.

Midterm check-in: Skye Pritchard

I’ve still got to make my modular kit modeling + texturing posts, which I’ve been avoiding since I’ve been doing them in a strange order, but here is the progress I’ve made so far. I’ve decided to focus on just the outside of the tower for the work in this class, and finish the rest…

Kirsten Roethel: Character Modeling 1st Pass

My game’s main character, Meeko, is a shy black cat who tends to the graveyard. For the first pass of modeling, I finished his basic shaping and anatomy. The only part of him that I have not added is his tail, as I am planning on adding that later as a part of his additional…

Alistair Gilmour – Midterm Check-in

(Posting late because everything is on the school computers) Progress has been unusual. I’ve never done a concept sketch of the full level because it’s been difficult for me to visualize how everything connects in 3D space. After coming up with a bare bones helm/control deck, I realized it would be advantageous to start by…

Hanwen Xu – Midterm

This is what I have right now. Because I am making an indoor scene and the layout is fairly simple, I want to get as many models and textures done as possible before I lay them out in Unity. Here are what I have right now, the hand dryer, walls, and floors are not textured…

(Un)Finished Environment – Conor Dolan

It’s definitely safe to say I’m behind in this class, however, I’ve been making fast progress in catching up. Instead of working on things linearly I made the mistake of doing some work for all the different assignments, and now I’m working hard to fill in the gaps. So far I’ve done all the basic…

Lauren Waddick – Midterm

Here is what I have of my dungeon environment for the midterm: I’m not too sure about the lighting right now and also wanna try to add more of the clutter items I had in mind if I have time before the end of the term.

Jake Matthews – Midterm Update

Here’s What I’ve got so far for the midterm. The Map: The main map for this game was generated from the heightmap of a crater from the surface of Mars. As such, the terrain is a bit more varied than I’d like in the final product, though I will mess around with the heights more…

Mitch Tanguay – Midterm Update

Here is a look at my level. Please see additional notes below. Here is a top-down view of my level layout. As of right now, my level has no roof. This is largely for ease of access, as the Unity camera does not behave in enclosed spaces, and for showcasing the floor plan. I will…

Diego Arce – Midterm (Unfinished)

This is my midterm, well at least what I have so far. Remember how I mentioned how I wanted to take some aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 welp I took the characteristic everyone loves about it and put it in my midterm, the fact that it was unfinished at release. On a serious note I completely…

Yulin (Jeff) Chen – Midterm

I have finished texturing most of the assets, except the power plant, the tower, the hangar ceiling (which I could simply modify the hangar wall) and the power plant fence. I plan to finish them Wednesday and import everything into Unity with Percy’s help. Here are the buildings and assets I have textured so far….

“Finished” Environment: Kerri Thornton

Here’s what I have so far for my rat circus 🙂 Still do to: Adjust a few of the UVs because they’re unhappy with me. Adjust all the colors to match better (especially the concrete/stone). Make little clutter items — will be chipping away at these soon. Draw posters for wall and art for rat…

Mid-Term Check-in: Ben Skiba

I have thus far got all but one of my assets built, the final one being a gas lamp. I have done most of the texturing needed for my objects and continue to chip away at them. I have put everything into unity once before I had textured everything and it seems to work well.

Daniel Pacheco-Cruz- Midterm

This is my midterm! After assembling everything together, I have concluded that there are a few more assets that i need to model. These assets include some form of window, entrance gate and some foliage like statues and flowers for the environment of my level. After making my level, I did add some components like…

Modular Building Kit Texturing

I textured my building kit in substance painter and then brought the models into unity with the materials. I found it much easier to do it this way rather than putting everything together in maya. My screenshots: Stair Models. Scroll and Furniture Models. Slide Door and Foldable Wall Models.
