The goal of this project was to create a dungeon environment to explore and reach the exit of. The dungeon has some magical properties in the crystals and is being used to store mythical creatures like the player character who is a dragon. The original objective was to find the three keys hidden throughout the level to free the dragons captured children after she herself was freed but due to time constraints I wasn’t able to figure out how to program that in. Overall though I think the concept does reflect in the environment even if there are more things that can be added in the future.

I ultimately learned a lot about what goes into building a 3D game environment from scratch. I feel like I have a better grasp on the UV process and overall modular asset creating process. Assembling the pieces created to create a tileable format help give me a better idea of how to form environments. Modeling, rigging and animating a quadruped character for the first time was an interesting challenge I’m hoping to become better at in the future.

The dragon player is so impressive, its animations are great and it really fits in the environment. I like that the player takes up a lot of the dungeon space, it makes you feel large and also feels a but claustrophobic (since you’ve been captured). All of the assets and clutter are great and fit the scene perfectly
Holy! I am so impressed and in awe of your work. The dragon!!!!! In the amount of time, we had to create a character, you did such a good job. The dungeon is so cool. The textures are done very well, and I could tell you really thought about the spatial awareness needed to place a dragon in a small, enclosed space. Not to mention the use of effects, which add to the dangerous and adventure vibe this level is giving off. The thing I’m most impressed about is the cohesion of everything together. The textures and models all fit together and make the scene feel whole.
That dragon is GORGEOUS. She looks graceful and elegant but also incredibly dangerous and I feel like that’s exactly where you want to land with this. At the same time, I don’t want to discount the level itself, which looks amazing and very much captures (pun intended) that dungeon feeling and makes the dragon feel that much more impressive while getting across the feeling that you’re being held against your will.
