Final Project – Conor Dolan

Over the course of this term, I have made a game environment that represents a mix between a superhero and science lair. I focused on making my assets look futuristic but also colorful and neon to match the aesthetic of said superhero. My biggest accomplishment is making a sizeable library of UV mapped and textured assets, especially since before this term UV mapping is something I took effort in avoiding and I had barely touched Substance Painter or Substance Designer. Now, I am much more confident in my ability to make 3D assets quickly. I also managed to learn a lot more about Unity, which I haven’t revisited since I started using Unreal Engine instead. The only two things I didn’t complete were any type of terrain or foliage, partly because of time and also because I didn’t think it’d fit well with my project’s theme, and the character rigging and animation strictly because of time. I wish I had gotten to this part, but I’ve done a little bit of this before and know how much time it takes, and put my effort in other parts of the project. I’m also proud to say I made all assets and textures myself, except for the music clip made by Alex Colwell.

I kept getting this message when trying to make a Mac build:

Not sure how to fix this, nothing exports to the folder. If you know how to fix please let me know and I can send the Mac build to you ASAP.

Your stylized assets are so well done, they look right out of a superhero movie/show. I like that the color scheme has really monotone colors like grey, black, and white, while also having those splashes of bright neon colors. It really feels like a superhero lab/lair
