Michael Weideman: Midterm Checkup

Hello again, I’m back.

This update is pretty late for a bunch of reasons that don’t matter.

Anyways, here’s the work that I’ve been doing recently.

First off, I’ve been texturing my toolkit meshes so here are a few to get an idea.

And more interestingly;

I’ve been working on making my character (in my case a creature)

Those who are payed oddly close attention to my earlier posts would realize that this creature doesn’t really match what I planned to do at all. And you’d be right. I decided on a more humanoid shaped creature because I believe that I’d have an easier time making it as well as rigging it. (Also we’re doing a character sculpt in 3D Modeling 2 so I can double dip on the same mesh 🙂 ).

Anyways, that’s all really. I’m making progress on all the meshes but I haven’t really done anything in Unity yet. I plan on finishing all of the toolkit stuff then moving on so I can just play with them like Lego’s to set up my map. (I know that the assignment on canvas says that the environment should be finished (that’s what the category in WordPress says as well) but I’m assuming that it’s alright to just post what I have done based on what Prof. Rosenstock said in class so; here’s to hoping)

Thanks,

Michael
