Kirsten Roethel: Character Modeling 1st Pass

My game’s main character, Meeko, is a shy black cat who tends to the graveyard.

For the first pass of modeling, I finished his basic shaping and anatomy. The only part of him that I have not added is his tail, as I am planning on adding that later as a part of his additional assets. I want the tail to be removable so there are not any issues when rigging in Mixamo.

Here’s how the modeling turned out:

My plans for finishing his model are to do the following:

  • Add in eyes/eyelids
  • Optimize his anatomy
  • Model his clothes/assets/tail
  • PolyPaint basic colors

I hope to get these steps done by the end of the weekend, so I can move on to model the NPCs in my game. Those will include a frog witch and a skeleton.
