Hello people, my name is Oliver but other people also call me Shard, short for Shardonney. I was born in London but grew up in the capital of Rhode Island, Providence. Art currently fits in games I am currently developing and also my goal to become a UX\/UI designer. I am mostly self taught in coding and animation due to having to wear many hats when working on a small tech project. I have learned a lot on the technical side of art through WPI and on the traditional side I do quick sketches usually under ten minutes because I started while riding the Metro between stops in London. Something that I would like to improve in my art making is efficiently using color more quickly and relying less on the bucket tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When making games, some have disappeared while others I still have around. The first game I worked on that I was lead of animation and audio was a game called Mechanism that I was proud of and was made in Gamemaker. Sadly the assets were not saved due to my inexperience so I have nothing to show. The other games I worked on I did more coding than art, but I always viewed myself as the bridging gap between art and tech when making a game just as a UX Designer is the bridging of the gap between developer and client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I like to practice music with my guitar and piano but I am always down to play on any electronic instrument. I sometimes do photography and I really like taking pictures of landscapes or people and animals doing interesting things. Somethings that inspire my work is Don Hertzfeldt, Shadow of the Colossus, and Little Nightmares. I would say that I try to do my own things and I usually will do the thing that is on my mind when it comes to projects, but I always will listen to others feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
