The initial idea for the game was for it to be a mix of the adventure and stealth genres. The goal of the player being to avoid certain obstacles while trying to solve a mystery about themself. The setting was supposed to start in a medical facility which lead to a mysterious laboratory filled with robot and vampire sentries for the player to avoid. However, I was only able to make one type of sentry, which is a ground drone. The setting itself was intended to be a combination of Victorian-era architecture and technological aspects similar to the steampunk subgenre. I think I was able to achieve the Victorian part of the project, but the technological aspect could have been established further if more emissive effects were used. The intended audience for the game was teenagers since blood would be involved in the overall plot if the game had more than one level, but the game would also focus on technology, robots, and AI. In addition to blood, the theme of the game focuses on identity and how one views the world around them. The game was intended to be in first-person perspective, but more work has to be done on the first-person character controller as well.
I was able to create an environment and robot model which achieves the vision I had for the game. The environment looks like a run down area, which was my initial intention and the robot resembles a lamppost which seems like an interesting demonstration of combining the Victorian era with modern technology. I am amazed that I was able to create the models and assets, as well as configure with enough Unity tools to convey a creepy and mysterious aesthetic.
Upon reflecting on what I have learned this term, I realize that I have learned a lot about different programs during this term, such as Maya’s sculpting and UV editing capabilities, Adobe Substance Sampler and Painter, as well as Unity Editor. I now have more experience with crafting materials and textures which can be applied to UV edited objects in a game engine. Additionally, now that I have created a level in the past seven weeks, I now know that I am capable of making more in the future, depending on my access to sculpting and texturing programs.

I hope that everyone enjoys the break, all of your work was astounding and thank Professor Rosenstock and Jasmine for your help!
