Cat Game Animations

on

These animations are extremely rough and really bad because my rig + weight painting got super broken thanks to it being only my second time doing a rig. Plus I just don’t really have the time to polish these animations ;;

    I think these animations are good, just a little fast! Editing the playback in unity to make sure that the cat doesn’t walk at the speed of sound should be sufficient. Really impressive, especially since animals have such a different movement structure than humans do 😀

      Yeah, I edited the playback in Unity. I didn’t feel like messing with them more in Maya, which was smart since Unity automatically slowed them down.

    Good job on the animation, especially considering how difficult it must be to work with and animate a non-humanoid rig. However I would suggest always trying to animate every part of a model just a little bit. Never neglect any of the form. Still very good job for the difficult task you’ve layed out for yourself.

    Very impressive, your rig looks very complex but organized which after rigging I am impressed by.

    These animations look really solid, especially since you had to work with a non-humanoid character. I think they are a strong start and even though you may not have time to polish them now, I 100% would suggest returning to it and cleaning it up when you can.
