I decided to make an alien soldier for my model. It will be the basic enemy the player fights off.
This is the base anatomy that the more captivating armor will sit on top of, but I’m not sure I’ll have time to complete it.
Although I was satisfied with the proportions of my sketch I couldn’t decide on the specifics of the armor details in 2D. I had trouble moving on to the modeling phase from my sketch because I felt I didn’t have a clear design yet. Eventually, I realized that moving onto Zbrush anyway and concepting in 3D would be more useful for this specific situation.
Although the model is generic, I was hoping to convey its personality through the stylized anatomy and armor it wears.
I honestly disagree- your model isnt generic at all! He has a very interesting shape- he looks emaciated and underweight. Is this what you intended? It looks really cool and gives him a unique sillhouette either way! Maybe you could lean into the alien-ness by changing his head size or shape slightly, to make him look less human-y.
