Hello! My name is Victoria Rindeiko, and I am from Salem, Massachussetts, but lived most of my life in Lynn, Massachussetts. I originally studied Robotics Engineering here at WPI, but I switched to majoring in IMGD in January of this year. Now I am a junior who is passionate about 3D art and different technical art elements. I have loved art all my life and played around with many different diciplines. Some of my artistic hobbies outside of the ones applied to my professional projects and classes include facepainting, cosplay, hairstyling, playing the flute, and other arts and crafts. Art has always been a big part of my life, and I’m so excited to hone my craft now that I am no longer bound by the chains that is calculus and physics.
I have been taking IMGD/AR courses throughout my college career as well as drawing for as long as I can remember. I mostly did traditional and digital painting/drawing in my high school career, and I only started learning 3D art in college. Given that I switched majors almost halfway through my college career, I am behind my classmates in terms of completed projects and games, so I’m looking to not only improve my skills but also make more portfolio pieces to make up for my time lost. I am especially excited for this class since I will be able to combine everything I’ve learned into an excelent portfolio piece (hopefully).
I have made the visual novel Spring Meadows for my IMGD 1001 class as my first game, and I made all the 2D art for it. I also recently joined Project Lilac, a fantasy rpg being made by a group of WPI sudents, which I will be leading the 3D environmental art for. Other than those, I have no other game experience, which I can hopefully soon fix. I wish to work on games and art styles that blur the lines between 2D and 3D, whether it is combining both assets in a game, or making 3D assets look 2D. Games like Hades, Guilty Gear: Strive, Darkest Dungeon 2, and Genshin Impact all are stylized 3D games, but all very different at the same time, which I absolutely love. I hope to play with these styles when working in this class and in future projects.
Looking forward to the class and getting to know everyone as well!

Your hair tests and 3D models are absolutely amazing! These are all really strong portfolio pieces and show that you have an incredible sense of detail in both your 2D and 3D work.

All your work in all your given mediums is really terrific, each piece has its own praiseworthy aspects about it but they all come together to make a terrifically impressive portfolio that shows off your expertise in all these fields. Very Well Done!

That hair you modeled is so amazing. I was so impressed. I also like how you framed the model and how you decided to light it!

Everyone’s said it but your hair stuff is AMAZING, especially when you consider the fact that it’s curls! Huge huge kudos in that regard. In addition, I love your environments and the lighting you’ve got around it. You’ve got a good grasp on how lighting interacts with various objects and it shows!
Gorgeous: You work is so well polished and has extreme care for detail in all of. You have such a clean and constant style, which is amazing!

The hair is really cool to look at and the lighting for all your 3D pieces are very professional.

Wow, your curly hair is really realistic and beautiful. I can tell that you put a lot of love and hard work into your portfolio, each piece reflects a lot of thought and attention to detail. Your work is seriously amazing
Impressive!
First off, all of your art is fantastic! I was in your visual novel class I I was totally wowed by the art on your game. Secondly, the room renders are super awesome. Everything is so cleanly modelled, textured, and it all reads so well. Finally, the hair blew me away. I have always struggled with hair for characters and your work in inspirational.
I think I will go with gorgeous, because the detail, proportions, and colors are astounding. The animation is fluid, the 3D art is stunning, and the paintings are very detailed as well as realistic (given the fantasy/sci-fi? elements)
Also, what exactly is the digital painting project? It reminds me of an earth genasi from D&D?
The painting is my fire genasi character I made for D&D. She was an artificer that grew up with dwarves.
Impressive
I love all of your different pieces and the level of effort and detail you’ve put into each one! I’m also currently working with Project Lilac for character design so I look forward to working with you on it!
Colorful- your use of color is so impressive!! The hair model is awesome, as i’m sure other people have pointed out- the colors you used show off the hair’s details really well. It looks so realistic, and I would give you the impressive badge as well if I hadn’t already given it out 😛
Impressive
I remember your animation reel from animation class last year! I also remember being really impressed by it! Your animations look so good and clean!
Impressive!
We attended IMGD1001 together last term! Your group’s art style certainly impressed me. But what impressed me most was what you did with the hair model. That fluffy feeling with the light is really beautiful. The hair style is also very fashionable. It’s hard to imagine what you’re going to produce in this term.

The hair models are breathtaking in detail. They look so lifelike and the colors seem very natural. I like your model of the room and how the lighting bring out the objects.
