My Geometric Abstraction inspiration was\u00a0Ilya Bolotowsky.<\/p>\n

From his works, I liked that he used a shape to frame his pieces (most commonly, a square or circle). I was inspired by his constraint of using rigid shapes (rectangles, lines) inside the frame to create a “pattern” almost.<\/p>\n

I created a frame (rotated square) and shapes (rectangles and squares) like Ilya on Max. It was confusing at first because I didn’t get how to layer the shapes. However, once we went over layers and getting rid of 3D rotation option, it was a lot easier to execute what I envisioned.<\/p>\n
